Between 17th February and 18th March, Muslims across the capital will be celebrating the holy month of Ramadan, fasting from dawn until sunset. But, luckily for us, that doesn't mean we can't enjoy a scrumptious feast come nightfall. From Michelin-starred Indian eateries to laid-back Lebanese locations and totally halal Italian hotspots, we've rounded up the very best restaurants for iftar in London.

Some restaurants listed are not completely halal, so please always check the options with your server.

Roti Chai

£20 Early Supper Set >>

Having been a favourite in Marylebone since 2011, Roti Chai is a two-storey Indian restaurant that uses recipes and cooking techniques from all over the sub-continent. There's a choice of the bustling, canteen-style street kitchen on the ground floor, or if you head downstairs you'll find a more formal dining room.

There's plenty of top-quality halal fare to sink your teeth into, ranging from Old Delhi chicken biryani to spicy vegetable samosas and warm chilli paneer salad.

Megan's - Various Sites

With venues everywhere from Clapham to Dulwich and Kensington, Megan's is an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant that promises gorgeous interiors. All their sites are totally unique in their decor, but they often feature indoor trees, pretty fairy lights and tiled walls.

Their extensive all-day menu has got something for everyone, featuring the likes of charred halloumi and tomato kebabs, mixed mezze platters and chilli chicken shakshouka.

Mowgli London Charlotte Street

Owned by celebrity chef Nisha Katona, Mowgli is one of the most beautiful Indian restaurants around. Their Charlotte Street venue has been around since 2021, flaunting indoor trees, an abundance of golden fairy lights and their signature hanging rope swing seats.

They serve plenty of halal food here, and a lot of their vast menu is plant-based. Tuck into tasty dishes such as tea-steeped chickpeas, butter chicken and fenugreek potato curry.

Dishoom - Restaurants

For those marking the holy month of Ramadan in the capital, Dishoom is offering a thoughtful way to gather for Iftar. From sunset each day between the 17th of February and the 18th of March, all Dishoom cafés will serve a specially curated Iftar feast priced at £38 per person, designed for groups of six or more. You can choose between non-vegetarian, vegetarian or vegan menus, each offering a generous spread of much-loved dishes.

Alongside the set menu, a Ramadan special takes centre stage: lamb korma with khamiri roti, a mughlai-inspired dish of slow-cooked lamb in a deeply spiced, smoky sauce enriched with cashews and silken onions (£24.90). Available at all cafés and every Permit Room, it's a fitting addition for families breaking their fast together. Medjool dates are also offered to guests at sunset, whether seated inside or waiting patiently in the queue.

Gallio

Located in the heart of Canary Wharf, Gallio is a stylish Mediterranean restaurant that offers all-day dining in a relaxed setting. Sink into their vibrant blue booths to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner, with plenty of halal, gluten-free and vegan options to choose from.

Indulge in everything from lamb kofte meatballs to stone-baked wild mushroom pizza or freshly baked pita with falafel and tahini garlic yoghurt.

Hoppers

This Ramadan, Hoppers, the celebrated Sri Lankan and South Indian restaurant group with sites in Soho, Marylebone, King's Cross and its newly opened Shoreditch home, welcomes back its much-loved Iftar Buriani Banquet from the 17th of February to the 22nd of March. At £32 per person, the sharing menu centres around Buriani, the deeply cherished rice dish enjoyed across Sri Lanka, India and beyond.

Designed for the whole table, the banquet begins with a selection of short eats tracing Buriani's rich culinary journey: think crisp mutton rolls, comforting lentil rasam soup and bright chickpea and cucumber salad. Guests then choose a signature buriani to share, from mushroom and lentil to chicken or slow-cooked lamb shoulder, each served with salan, curry leaf raita, lime pickle and papads. To finish, there's Hoppers' seasonal trifle or indulgent chocolate biskut pudding, bringing a sweet end to a meal rooted in generosity, heritage and shared celebration.

Farzi London

Located in the Haymarket area, Farzi is a modern Indian restaurant with a stylish, golden interior and a cracking selection of food on offer. They've got a special halal sharing menu running from 18th February - 19th March, costing £29.99 per person (or an extra £2.99 for dessert too).

This has been carefully designed by Head Chef Nikhil and Operations Head Savio, who both grew up in India, surrounded by Ramadan traditions. Expect dishes like street food-inspired mixed grills, papadums, dates and more.

Aram By Imad

A buzzing Eastern Mediterranean café, deli and restaurant in the grand South Wing of Somerset House, Aram By Imad is the perfect spot to break the fast.

This Ramadan, Chef Imad Alarnab is running a series of Iftar supper clubs held in partnership with Action Syria. Expect evenings filled with Middle Eastern heritage and, of course, the most delicious Syrian sharing plates.

Bacchanalia

Located just off Berkeley Square in Mayfair, Bacchanalia is a stunning restaurant for Iftar dining. This place is inspired by ancient Greece and Rome, featuring striking murals and sculptures, and it's got an inviting, candlelit atmopshere by night.

During Ramadan, they've added a £20 per person Iftar add-on, available when dining a la carte. You'll be welcomed with a selection of traditional sweet bites to break the fast, including dates, halva, Turkish delight and kefir, before tucking into your main meal. Plus, almost all of their dishes are halal.

COYA Mayfair

Indulge in a luxurious Iftar experience at COYA Mayfair with their exclusive £65 set menu. The halal-certified menu features an array of sharing dishes such as wagyu gyoza, shiitake tacos, and chicken empanada, followed by mains like lamb ribs, wild mushroom cazuela, and Chilean seabass.

Finish with the signature crocante de pistachio con azafran dessert. The Iftar menu is available daily from 17th February throughout Ramadan, from sunset to 7.30pm, paired with refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails.

UBA Shoreditch

Located on Great Eastern Street in the heart of Shoreditch, UBA is a sleek pan-Asian restaurant that's open until 11pm Thursday to Saturday, and at least 10pm every evening - perfect for late-night dining. The stunning space features vibrant red decor and glowing lanterns, making for a gorgeous meal.

Their entire menu is halal, except for one beef gyoza dish. Expect everything from Korean crispy fried chicken to rock shrimp tempura and teriyaki salmon belly.
